Timer functionality in SAP Syclo Servie Manager

Hi,

I am working on a Syclo Smart Service Manager version 3 application.

I would like to understand the functionality of Timer function.

When the status is changed to driving an auto confirmation is created.

Does it calculate time from timer or how does timer comes into play in the whole application.

If anybody can please elaborate on timer functionality it would be really helpful for me,
